About
The
company was established in 1995 and originally located
at Kiln Farm focusing purely on the refurbishment and
installation of refrigeration units. In 2003 the company
acquired an existing powder coating company, primarily
because of the difficulty in sourcing reliable metal
finishers for the refrigeration refurbishment operation,
and became known as A & M Powder Coaters & Installations
Ltd. This gave the company two principal divisions, Powder
Coating and Refrigeration Refurbishment.
Powder
Coating: The Powder Coating operation offers a fully
scalable finishing service from high volume automatic
track line powder coating, through to medium volume camel
back production as well as a box oven for low volume
and one off work.
Air
Dry Coatings: We also undertake Air Dry Coatings
including one pack and two pack systems. We undertake
air dry work for a number of local automotive companies
including a restorer of Rolls Royce cars

Heat
Exchangers: We
undertake regular work for a manufacturer of high pressure
and high temperature heat exchangers. These systems operate
in demanding environments that require robust and durable
coatings.
Car
Restoration: We undertake a large amount of
vehicle restoration work for cars such as Rolls Royce's
as well as classics such as the Ford Mustang. Components
that we have coated on these vehicles includes all
engine parts, rear axles, front axles, back hubs, seat
frames etc.
Refrigeration
Refurbishment: Our Refrigeration Division
undertakes the refurbishment, installation and supply
of commercial refrigeration cabinets and cases for
retail operations including supermarkets and small
convenience stores. We currently have five teams operating
in the field and cover the entire United Kingdom.
Much
of our business is sub-contracted to prime contractors
such as WR Refrigeration and Project First, predominantly
planned maintenance although we also undertake direct
contract work for single location
projects including reactive work.
